• "My time in Banff was shaped by sustained, embodied engagement with the landscape, beginning with an artist residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in 2024 and continuing through return research travel in 2025. What draws me to Banff is not only its scale and beauty, but the way the land holds deep geological time alongside layered human histories. The studies produced through this extended period of engagement function as a form of visual fieldwork, grounded in site-based research. Working on drafting film, I use layered paint, drawing, and gesture to register movement, atmosphere, and bodily experience rather than fixed viewpoints."
