• "Over more than four decades of making photographs, certain images have come to stand as markers along the path of my thinking about industry, landscape, and the scale of human ambition. Many of the works in this show have long since sold out, but by returning to the vault and presenting a few of these photographs at a scale that was not possible at the original time of release due to material and technological restrictions, I’ve had the opportunity to revisit them with fresh eyes. Assembling this selection of prints allowed me to rediscover the ideas that first compelled me to make them, while also recognizing how their meaning continues to evolve over time." - Edward Burtynsky
