Known as the Similkameen works, Mackenzie created these in the spring of 2021 in this region in BC. There is the Similkameen River that runs through the area and Landon was in a 5,000 square foot home owned by the Freybe family. Landon is acting as an advisor to turn the property into a functioning residency through Griffin Art Projects initiative. Landon made these very minimal works, inspired by the colours and texture of the landscape, the side of a sage brush mountain. She is also reference John Cage's very minimal drawings and the likeness to musical scores.
